Michael has recently completed an original painting on Azul Bahai Granite. It is called, “Stone Wave”. It abstractly depicts waves crashing onto the granite, while also showing the calmness and beauty of what is below the water’s surface.Rescuing a 3ft x 3ft solid piece of stone discarded from a local fabricator gave a good feeling to local artist Michael Monroe. Michael states, “I was happy to repurpose it, as protecting our natural resources stands high on my list”. For the piece to go from a dumpster, to the elegance of a piece of fine art is truly a rags to riches story.
